January Wintering Yoga

I love this poem from @nurturingfolk reminding us of natures rhythms and the simplicity in just watching what’s happening around us during this season. A season of slow, of comfort, of peace, of rest.

There is always a certain pressure surrounding the New Year to be ‘turning over a new leaf’ beginning again, new start….but the truth is the measure of time into years is a human creation, and when you look at nature January (in the northern hemisphere) is a time to do the opposite.

So if you’re noticing a need to hunker down and cosy up, the thought of trying anything new or up the energy just not sitting well then you are not alone. Choose to tune in and restore instead. The fact is, every moment of every single day offers an opportunity for growth, you don’t need to rush into anything.

We also had the absolute pleasure of Small Town Jones playing for us at last Monday night’s sessions, it was for our monthly Full Moon class and it was pure magic.

We’re super excited to be planning our first ‘Soul Food’ session in Croyde on March 23rd, where we will blend yoga, meditative melodies and nourishing supper from Blue Groove to create a rejuvenating and magical experience. More details coming very soon…..
